The GIS system in the gas sector includes such sub-systems as utilizing the system and assistance which could be connected to other main systems such as billing, MIS, CMMS and etc.
Applications such as:
- The cut-off and shut-off analysis
- Tracing of a particular customer from his or her home to the TBS (Town Border Station)
- Tracking of assistance vehicles
- Identifying the area that is affected by a closed valve and customers without gas
- The possibility of connecting to an automatic communication tool such as telephone and announcing a planned disconnection
- Facilitating the design of new networks
- The possibility of connecting to SCADA systems
